CENTRAL VALLEY,
CA – For the 8th year in a row,
hundreds and hundreds of generous donors rode
over to the Central California Blood Center’s
Rodeo Blood Drive to help patients in Valley
hospitals get back in the saddle again. This
year at the continually increasing blood drive,
a phenomenal 1,062 people registered to give
blood at one of five locations around the
Central Valley. Many dropped by the Clovis
Rodeo Grounds where they had the chance to chat
with champion cowboys and rub shoulders with
rodeo royalty. Each year the Clovis Rodeo
Association, KISS Country Radio and the Central
California Blood Center come together to save
lives and kick-off the Clovis Rodeo – one of the
top rodeos in the nation. The Central California
Blood Center would also like to thank the many
generous sponsors who help make this event such
a success annually.
Blood donation
takes less than one hour to complete. Donors
must be in good general health, weigh a minimum
of 110 pounds and be at least 17 years old.
